The Vital Role of Journalists and Bloggers to Global Peace

Since my college days, I have been hearing that freedom of expression together with its democratic principles is guarded by those individuals in the media who fought and died for the sake of such freedom to express one’s self and to unveil anything that is happening around us without pretensions and prejudice.

The fast communication of networks around the world that we have today is considered as the pillars in promoting peace and unity among all mankind. Tri-media people like myself, for instance, play a very vital role in the continuous existence of the freedom of expression not only for human rights but also for maintaining the spirit of brotherhood and universal progress.

Thus, our active influence, as individuals in the world of blogging, media and broadcasting, in the lives of the general public becomes an integral part as well as an immediate tool in imparting knowledge, truth and pieces of information to the whole world.

As a blogger and a journalist at the same time, we have the capacity to contribute to the political and economic change in the world. Our role as writers as well as our objectives in global peace and self-expression is too vital that these should not be destroyed and hindered by any chaos or any aggressions perhaps.

The Essence of Pen and Paper

It took more than a couple of years before I finally appreciated and understood the value of pen and paper.  It is just recently that I learned genuinely about the real uses of these two mighty things- to scribble our thoughts and to express ourselves freely and spontaneously.

I believe that every one of us has his own ideas and concepts in mind, however, is we could not be able to get them across; those things in our mind will probably just bring us nowhere.

I have shared with you in my previous article how and why I hated writing. Now, after years of confusions, complaints and introspection regarding writing, the essence of it slowly sunk in my senses. All the doubts and weariness did faded away. All my questions were comprehensively answered through the years.

Writing is indeed a genuinely complicated task and explaining well its importance would require a lengthened discussions. However, the profound reason I was able to learn out of my experiences was that writing is one of the most available opportunity to relieve our fervors.

Writing is also a great venue for self-expression and self-fulfillment. Once you were able to communicate yourself well through writing, and once you have already disclosed and released all your valuable thoughts, you could be able to taste the sweetness of fulfillment. If like me you also want to find self-fulfillment, I suggest you learn to love and embrace your pen and paper. Fear not to write. Do not hesitate to be yourself. Never hold back, instead, express yourself truly and freely, without any pretentions at all.

Why I Hated Writing?

During my childhood years, I always hated it when our teacher asked us to write something in our formal and informal themes for English subject. I even hated it when our teacher let us write topics that I considered very trivial. I did not like the idea of doing our theme projects as I hate writing, rewriting and do another rewriting until I ran out of ideas, of ink and of pad paper.

  1. I hated writing our theme projects because I felt it was so tedious and boring. I always need to rewrite and rewrite my output.
  2. I hated it because callouses started appearing in my cute little fingers.
  3. I hated it because I needed to polish out some knotty spellings of difficult words, conform to the intricate punctuation rules and to the bewildering grammar standards and guidelines.
  4.  I hated it because I always get confused and puzzled with what proper vocabularies should I use for a specific topic.
  5. In short, I really hated writing, in general.

Writing for me used to be a very monotonous and scorched undertaking. I used to ask myself, why I should need to write and rewrite if I would just end up fuzzy, wasted and loathed. Writing seemed to be an illogical task for me.

My Rules To A Healthy Diet

“Health”, one word that would mean everything for anyone’s world. Health is indeed one of the most important things in our life that we need to prioritize and to take good care of, more than anything else. If you are unhealthy, you would not be able to enjoy everything you have, including life itself. This is why, I always keep my health as among my top priorities.

Today, I would like to share with you some of my rules to healthy living. This can be a sort of tips for those who would like to stay healthy and fit as well.

Rule # 1. Consume less amount of unhealthy sugar, increase fruit intake. Too much sugar in our body can be detrimental to our health. This is why I always consume sugar to the least amount. I also eat more fruits. They are not merely good for our health but they are as well delicious.

Rule #2. Less meat consumption, eat more vegetable. Meat is healthy within the considerable amount. However, if we take too much meat, we are as well selling our health for zero. Instead, eat more vegetables than meat. If you can’t avoid meat, you can just add a small amount into your vegetables. I personally like fresh vegetables because I want to get the most nutrients I can get from them.

Rule # 3. Less Soda, more water. Soda and other caffeinated beverages is certainly not good to our health. I also drink soda and soft drinks but with moderation. I am a true water fanatic. I can even consume as much as 10 glasses of pure water a day. And sometimes even more.
